  Hilarious Whatsapp message received - FIRST day after Big D

  a hilarious stupid wa message is being circulated amongst jws in my area / country.. i had a hearty laugh at the ignorance and stupidity and brainwashed mentality, different people may express different emotions so you have been warned.

  day one after armageddon it seems ages since we last heard the gunshots and screams, today has been really quiet.

  the last few weeks have been sheer terror.

  Others were somewhat disappointed some of their love ones did not make it, but soon were swept up in the euphoria of this great day, and were smiling with everyone else

  So if your family gets killed you won't be to bummed out about it apparently.

  From the late 80's to late 90's in the Midwest

  shaw-first co I remember, seemed like a nice guy

  Parrish-no real memories of him

  Christian-I was a kid but caused quite a stir in our hall, almost broke up the congregation

  Keith Macaslin-wife was from the Philippines. He was a huge jerk, full of himself. I remember he stopped his Sunday talk, because some kids weren't paying attention. He told us the information he was giving was life saving and if we weren't going to take it seriously we need to leave the hall! Right in the middle of his talk. He would get mad if people put their bibles away and got out their songbooks at the end of his talk. He would tell us, he'll tell us when to do that.

  are the governing body of the wt wickedly smart with extremely high iq or are they leaders of the wt because they were at the right place at the right time.

  (in other words, pure luck )-think lottery.

  ive seen them talk in jwtv and you can never convince anyone in the whole world that these guys are in the same category as someone smart or cunning like jim simons who founded renaissance technologies or bill gates.

  I think they're probably average intelligence. Perhaps some of them are even above average. The thing that makes them seem stupid is, they believe the world is ending soon, very soon! They also believe god is directing them personally. If one 100% believes those 2 things...well then, there's no end to the amount of dumb/crazy things you'll end up doing.

  however, they are slowly fading that out into more digital publications.

  we all have come to the conclusion that printed material from the wt is going way of the dinosaur.

  If I had to pick one I'd say number 3. I think Warwick/ other building projects have gone way over budget, they can't go on with the status quo, incoming donations, return on investments etc. isn't what it once was. They need to liquidate their Brooklyn properties to remain long term financial health. I don't think it's quite as serious as some hoped, if they can navigate this next year or two, I think they'll be ok. I don't think they'll ever be what they once were though. I would love to know what their numbers are in the states for English speaking congregations. I honestly think they are bleeding members from that group and its hurting them financially.

  even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.

  the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

  It doesn't feel like a ruse for more money, but I wouldn't put it past them to do something like that. They go full tv evangelist style, saying god told them to stop construction, cause he needs more money!!

  It just reminded me actually, didn't they say a few yeas ago, I think it was guy pierce, they weren't sure it they had "Jehovah's direction/spirit" or something like that when going ahead and starting with Warwick?

  A simple explanation for the financial changes

  as i've mentioned from time to time, i'm a retired accountant.

  i have tried many times to come up with some logical, sound business reason why the wtbs has made the big changes in its financial arrangements: taking the congregations savings, the monthly donations per congregation etc.

  i finally came up with the answer.. the leadership of the watchtower society is batshit crazy.

  You're probably right. I like to think of them as a business, sometimes it helps to understand why they do what they do. At the end of the day though, they are an end times cult who believe god is directing their organization. Or in simpler terms...they are straight up bat-shit crazy.
